So on a lark today I threw my Alien SE DVD in because I wanted to watch the special features, and I watched the original 1979 trailer.
And realized that that creepy sound effect you hear played throughout the Prometheus trailer came, in fact, from the original.

Everytime someone posts a facebook status about tanning, the importance to them of being tanned, having a tan, having a natural tan, a fake tan, or how happy they are to be tanned, a child dies in africa, bono eats a kid’s puppy, and it makes me want to take a shit in the mouths of every member of the cast of “The only way is essex” while reading them war and peace by Tolstoy.
